Michael, I can't believe I am writing about you being 4 today. It seems like just yesterday your dad was standing at the foot of my hospital bed looking over your naked body trying to figure out how to put on a diaper...
Right now you love art.
You are getting pretty good at drawing animals and people. You are starting to add details to your pictures like clouds, grass, flowers and birds.
You still love your Mimi very much. You love the special attention she gives you and the time that you spend together.
You think Pa is pretty great too. You like it when he comes over to help us with projects. You will get out your own tools and follow him around. You always end up using his real tools and needing everything that he is using at the time. You like it when he takes you on special trips to the beach (Your Island) and to the store.
You have also began to spend the night at their house, which you think is pretty cool.
They always take you on the best adventures.
At 4 you love school. You talk about all your friends and cant wait to play with them. You can count to 25 but you skip 14,15 and 16 (who needs them anyway?) You can identify all the letters of the alphabet but sometimes forget T and G.
You also LOVE being outside. You will ride your bike and your 4 wheeler. You will dig, find bugs and draw with sidewalk chalk.
At 4 you are a great helper. If I am sweeping, you will get out your own broom . You like to wipe off counters and will entertain Colin when I need you to.
You love being a big brother and always tell me that you want Colin to stay small forever. You are very protective and proud of him.
At 4 your dad is your best friend. You two go out to lunch and run errands together all the time. You guys like talking about animals, working on puzzles, and watching nature shows together.
When you were really little your dad and I were joking around and referred to you as our Masterpiece. The name stuck and that is what we call you because that is what we think you are.
We have had a lot of fun over these past 4 years.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone! Even though my parents are lame and didn't throw me a party this year I had a great day! I have a feeling that 4 is going to be a great year!
