Man Against Chipmunk

Michael was the first human to sample a strawberry from our garden this year. DSC_1635.jpg You see, our local chipmunks have an uncanny ability to sniff out perfectly ripe strawberries. DSC_1640.jpg The problem started last year. DSC_1643.jpg Every time I would go out to pick strawberries, I would find all the ripe ones half way eaten. DSC_1641.jpg  I thought we had them outsmarted this year. DSC_1644.jpg Mike built this chipmunk barrier last weekend and I let my guard down. I just let the strawberries do their thing and when I went out to admire them last night it was like deja vu. MORE HALF EATEN STRAWBERRIES. DSC_1648.jpg Michael and I ran a quick sweep around the perimeter and found the point of entry. We patched it up, crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. DSC_1647.jpg And guess what we found today????
MORE HALF EATEN STRAWBERRIES!!!
I am beginning to think that they are parachuting in.
Does anyone have a good chipmunk recipe?

No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.

After 1 doctors visit, 4 X-Rays, and a visit to the Fracture Clinic, we are left with the diagnosis of a possible buckle fracture in 2 toes, a little blue cast and a boot. Colin wanted them to put a cast on his other foot too and is quite proud of his new look. We go back in 10 days and hope to have this whole thing behind us!
