So if you have been keeping track, we were stuck at my parent's house for 2 days, initially because my car was stuck on their hill, then because our power went out. If you haven't been keeping track because you have more important things to do, you are caught up now.
We once again had the time of our lives. We woke up yesterday morning to a warm fire and Starbucks (my dad was crazy enough to brave the freezing temperatures for a caffeine fix) and ended our day with yummy Round Table Pizza. As soon as I found out our power was back on, I scarfed down my last piece, packed our things, had my dad drive us to the top of the hill and hightailed back to Gig Harbor. While it is fun being spoiled at my parent's house, there's nothing like being at home.
Here is a glimpse of our fun day.
Building farms by 8:00am.
Its called work ethic people.
Its called work ethic people.
We gave Colin a bath in the sink, and Mr. I Have to be Involved in Everything decided that he needed one too.
Nachos and wine by 11:45 am.
It was necessary.
BELIEVE ME.
BELIEVE ME.
Let's just say that Michael developed the quickest onset of ADHD known to man after the first snow flake hit the ground.
Since we didn't have a change of clothes for the boys, Michael got to pick out a new pair of pajama's from my mom's Christmas stash. These monsters he drew were inspired by his new threads.
2 more short naps on the couch.
Olen "ran out of minutes" on his cell phone so he "had to come over" to use my parent's phone for a "conference call." I think he really just wanted to remind everyone that he has a job.
Pa came home early from work, so Michael had a new playmate (hooray).
And Colin finally got to catch up on the news.
We all had a great time, but I think everyone was happy to "get home and touch their things" as my mom would say.
We now have a stash of necessities at my parent's house in case we ever get "stuck" again.
*Don't worry, I'm done using quotation marks for at least a week.*

Wow! Olen looks important... he's clearly a force to be reckoned with.
