I see you went with the fully-retractable Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber toy, which is fine for a starter toy; but here in lies the problem: the retractable version is difficult to use, results in delayed fighting response, and provides unrealistic roleplaying.
Case in point: picture number one. Clearly Michael is having trouble extending the full length of the retractable lightsaber (hence: difficult and delay). To speed up the process of full extension, Michael is forced to use his hand to reach maximum lightsaber potential. Unfortunately, this results in a loss of hand (hence: unrealistic roleplay). So congratulations, you just spared Darth Vader the trouble from having to remove your hand.
Holy smokes you are Star Wars savvy. I really should have consulted you when planning this party! Lets discuss out light saber options further on Friday!

Jordan - you are my favorite nerd. And Sarah - I think the third picture is frame-worthy.
