Well lets just say that it is now 12:22 pm and he has done everything but clean his room. In fact he has made even more of a mess, tried to convince Colin to clean it for him, and told me that his hands are too tired to clean.
I was getting sick of nagging, so I took out a garbage bag and set the kitchen timer for 20 minutes. I told him that whatever was left on his floor when the timer went off would end up in the garbage bag.
I was feeling really pleased with my parenting at this point and fully expected to find a sparkling room....
The timer just went off and this is what I found.
His room is still a mess for the record.
