He was whipping up a little something something in his kitchen on Thursday, turned around and started to walk towards me.
All at the ripe age of 15 months and 1 day.

He was so shocked that he hasn't really attempted his new trick since.
Instead he has reverted back to toilet paper play.

Way to go Colin!
Awww....big boy! So proud, Colin! I feel like we are so far from that and we are approaching 14 months....send over some walking vibes. Caroline prefers to cling to my leg.
big boy...he is so dang sweet!
Sarah -I found your blog through a mutual friend and was wondering - are you still cloth diapering? If not, why?
No judgement, just trying to decide if that's the route I want to go.
Thanks,
Heidi
Hi Heidi!
I am not using cloth diapers at this time but after talking with a friend who has had a great experience with cloth, I am thinking about going back.
One of the reasons I stopped was because Colin's skin would sometimes smell like urine when I would change him. The diaper didn't smell, but the smell would stick to his skin. I was using Charlie's Soap, which a lot of sites recommend, but apparently a lot of people have had problems with it. Maybe if I had used something different it wouldn't have been a problem.
Another reason I switched back to disposables was because most of Colin's pants didn't fit over the cloth... Again, if I go back I can always go up a size in pants.
Finally, I was always in the laundry room. Even though I had plenty of diapers, I found myself washing almost every day and our utility bill skyrocketed.
Since my trial with cloth, I have found a lot of helpful resources that I wish I would have found before I tried them. Email me at swelch253@hotmail.com if you want me to forward you the info!
Yey Colin!
You're a brave woman - I still don't let Max into the bathroom at all. We have baby gates blocking them - he goes straight for the toilet to 'play' in it. Yah, gross.
