We have been busy around the homestead.
We (meaning Mike) filled the last big bed with dirt over the weekend.
He was very happy to do so.
I'm pretty sure, right here he is thanking his lucky stars that he married me.
Colin was biting at the bit to get out there.
Today was beautiful so we skipped rest time and went outside.
We planted seeds. Lots of seeds.
I started to get a little nervous about my lettuce for ants.
I was actually loosing sleep over it, so I bought a few starters.
This way, if my lettuce takes off, great. If not, we have a backup.
Our peas are continuing to grow.
So I finished stapling our chicken wire to the trellis.
I'm actually really proud of this.
So proud that I took a picture and emailed it to a few people.
I mean it required gloves and a step stool for heaven sakes.
Michael loves digging.
He likes to collect worms and potato bugs.
Turns out, Colin likes digging too.
He is going to be one in a couple of weeks.
(Deep breaths)
Houston, we have a tepee.
We planted strawberry starters.
Chives.
Cabbage.
And pumpkins.
Enjoy your week.
I know we will.

Wow, so impressed with your green thumb over there. I just finished puting a small garden bed together over here. I need a consult. Have not yet planted, am I too late?
No! Not too late at all. I think the only thing you would be pushing is peas from seed, but the people up at Garden Sphere told me it still wasn't too late for that either. I did see some pea starts at Willow Tree in University Place. Can't wait to hear about what you are planting!
