Been waiting for this post so I could share that although I did not get a bed built this year, we did prep a large bed this weekend for my vegetable garden this year. Planting some starters this week and have no clue what I am doing, but jumping right in and so excited. If all goes well, we will build them next year...what veggie produced most for you last year? I need a few easy ones to build confidence. I bought a million seeds. The cashier said...wow, you have a lot of seeds...I said, i do? Here goes nothing;)
Brooke- I'm excited to see what you plant this year and how they take off! I don't know about you but the lack of sun last year didn't do my garden any favors.
Heidi- Yay! I'm so excited that you are starting a garden! I bought a lot of seeds too. I actually didn't realize it until I started planting. The good thing about a lot of the seeds, is you can plant them again in the late summer for fall crops. I planted late last year (end of May) so I used mostly starters. I used seeds for onions and carrots but they didn't do well and I am blaming the weather:) I had great luck with peppers, lettuce, parsley, and some tomatoes. The lettuce was great! So far I have planted seeds outside for sugar snap peas, broccoli, lettuce, and carrots. I am trying to plant the lettuce in stages this year so it lasts throughout the summer. I used starters for Walla Walla onions. I'm keeping my figers crossed that they take off! We will have to trade tips when things start to grow:)

Love. Love. Love that second picture.
You've inspired me to make a second attempt at our little box of a garden. Nice work!
