We had a busy and relaxing weekend around these parts.
We started off the fun by introducing Colin to his very first finger food a.k.a. Puffs.
It was a hit.
He has also been partaking in some Mum Mum action.
Its hard to tell which is his favorite.
Mike picked up some little sea creatures for Michael that grow in water...
I present you with Michael's very first experiment.
We let him put them in the glasses before our his quiet time and told him that they would be bigger when his movie was over.
Big mistake.
He came downstairs every 5 minutes to check on them.
They actually reached full size the next day, but Michael had a bast checking on them throughout the night.
They are now drying out and are supposed to shrink back to normal size.
We shall see.
I decided to let the house fall apart around me and caught up on Ina's newest book, Barefoot Contessa How Easy is That?
I'm pretty much obsessed with all things Ina, so whenever I get my hands on one of her new books I study it like my life depends on it.
What's that you said Ina? I need to stock my pantry with De Cecco pasta in multiple shapes and spend a small fortune on Oliv Santo Oil?
I'm so on it.
I'm so on it.
Michael enjoyed a few long bubble baths.
And had a major freak out when I tried to put gel in his hair.
He made his first snowflakes and narrowly escaped cutting off a finger.
And practiced self control when waiting for friends to come over.
We had a fun visit with our good friends Ralph and Lib.
They are always so thoughtful and brought Michael a birthday basket overflowing with art supplies. They were worried Colin would feel left out so they got him a little moving dog that is supposed to encourage him to crawl *insert nervous laugh*.
Michael surprised me when he kindly offered to show him how to use it.
Michael had a new friend over...
Meet Ryan.
He is crazy just like Michael.
They had a blast driving trucks and their bodies down the staircase, watching the sea creatures grow, literally "Making it Rain" with play money, and making baby traps in the playroom.
Boy did Michael sleep well after that visit!
Chrissy, when are you guys coming back???
The next morning we made some creations with the stamps Ralph and Lib got Michael.
And enjoyed a few Mimosas while watching the Seahawks.
We hope that you enjoyed your weekend!
Bye for now!

Both Ryan and I had so much fun!!! We'll have to do it again soon. All he talks about is his new friend Michael. And yes, Ryan slept well that night too. Crazy boys...
I'm with Ina, De Cecco is the best. They even have a good whole wheat option if you are in to that sort of thing. Looks like a fun weekend was had by all. I'm wondering what happened to Ryan's clothes?
When I took the cooking classes in Tuscany we were in the kitchens of several restaurants and got to see the products they use - De Cecco pasta all over the place! I second Ina! Ralph and I had a great time visiting with you and the boys!
Chrissy- Let's be in touch for another play date!
Katie and Lib- Don't worry I have stocked up on the De Cecco!
Oh and Ryan's clothes were in the dryer. They got wet when they were playing with the sea creatures.
I love the Barefoot Contessa! I bet that book is great. :) Glad you guys enjoyed the long weekend.
Thanks Lisa! We were going through the classic Foster withdrawal symptoms but tried to make the best of things:)
