Random Endorsement

OK.  I want to start off my saying I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Beaba Babycook.

It is easy to use and I feel good about the food that I am able to serve to Colin when using it.

I have recently ran into a little problem though.  I can't find a decent sweet potato or squash to save my life.

The fruit isn't a problem.  I can always find fresh apples and pears, but those darn seasonal vegetables are getting the best of me...

Yesterday I was cruising the aisles of Target and came across these concoctions.

I have to admit I felt a little guilty even looking at them, but I figured that Colin needs more than green beans in his life, so I picked up a few packages.

He LOVES them.  I wont be replacing all my homemade baby food anytime soon, but I think they will serve their purpose when I can't find certain fresh vegetables to make on my own. Plus they will be good to travel with.

Check them out here and here.

Those are great! At one point in time it was the only way I could get Joey to eat green veggies. We still resort to them on some days. In fact they make smaller toddler ones that kids eat direct from the package. I also found them online at Amazon and Diapers.com for a great deal on a case of 6 or 12.

Julie- thanks for the tip! I will be sure to check out the deals on Amazon and Diapers.com! Those packages can be pricey which is another reason I like to make my own food;)

Actually they are on sale at Babies R Us, 10 for 10 in their flyer this week.

Omg-we must be on the same page. Re-obsessed with my beaba and wondering why a trader Joe junky would not have discovered the CHEAP bag of organic sweet potatoes there. Also, just discovered those squeeze "foods" and wanted to try them for when we r out and about...now I will;-)

Wait what!?!? Trader Joe's still has sweet potatoes? So Colin loves the baggie thingies but after going through 3 $2.00 bags in 3 days I was wondering what I was smoking. I then threw 2 apples, a hand full of carrots and blueberries in the Babycook and made 7 days worth of food for free. Well not really "free" but you know what I mean:) I think I will use the bags on the road for now on...
