I promised Michael that he could decorate a Gingerbread House yesterday, so we made a morning of it and headed to the store to pick up the materials.
Right when we got home he wanted to start.
I quickly mixed up the icing, constructed the house and let him have at it.
After catching him licking the frosting, we had a talk about a little something called Salmonella.
Not wanting to end up in the hospital, he finally stopped sampling and got down to work.
He was a natural.
But when he was done all he kept saying was, "Now we put it in the oven and I can eat all of it up?"
Over,
Until we told him it was time for Quiet Time.
He tried to opt out.
We informed him it wasn't an option, but he wasn't having it.
That's when I remembered the app that my friend Jessie recommended.
(I clearly underestimated the genius of Michael the other night when I so foolishly pretended to call Santa.)
It was time to pull out the big guns.
Best $1.99 Ive ever spent.
