So I had a fun little reunion yesterday with my friend Kim from WSU. She had a great idea to get together and make big batches of baby food to split.
Here we are with our two little ones.
Excuse me while I tower over everyone.
We met over 12 years ago on pledge day. Can you find us?
Hint: We are the wet ones in the front and my hair may have been a different color.
Before she came over, I was racking my brain for the last time we really hung out. At first I thought it was at our senior year Open to Close at The Coug.
Then I racked it a little more and figured out it was at a more civilized function.
I don't know why we haven't gotten together before this. We have so much in common. We are both teachers, have 2 kids, use cloth diapers, make our own baby food and share a love for all things Baby Boden.
Things were a little more refined at this get together. We sipped on coffee, steamed, blended, bounced babies, talked about life and the only thing we were opening and closing were baby food lids.
At one point we had vegetables boiling, 2 steamers steaming and 2 blenders blending.

Here's my loot.
I now have 39 helpings of frozen baby food, which is good because this guy loves to eat.
Oh, my bad. I forgot his bib.
Thanks for the great idea, cloth diapering tips, and fun conversation Kim!

Can't wait for our next steam session.

Oh my gosh, you are too cute and I'm so embarrassed of those oldies but goodies you posted. That was a blast -- here is to more civilized partays-- maybe next one can involve some reduced-guilt TJ's brownies. xoxo
what a fun idea!
what containers did you use to freeze the carrots, sweet potatoes, and pears?
Shelley-
They are from Babies r Us. You can order them here-http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3719328.
The only issue with them is the food expands when it is frozen, so some of the lids popped open:) Other than that they are easy to use!
How fun! This makes me want to make baby food again...
