I recently turned 30 and I was the lucky recipient of this Kitchen-Aid mixer courtesy of my mom and dad! I was shopping with my dad over the holidays and when we were at Crate and Barrel I casually mentioned that I wanted to get a Kitchen-Aid mixer, but I was too cheap to buy one. Fast forward a few months and my parents surprised me with one (great memory dad)!
Now my pajama clad sue chef and I don't have to work up a sweat when we make chocolate chip cookies!
No joke, my arms literally got sore after I would stir the dough by hand. 
Oh, how I wish I could eat this right now without exposing my unborn child to salmonella or botulism, or both.
Yum! The final product will do for now. Don't pay any attention to the finger prints on my bread box. Those were immediately polished off after I uploaded this picture.Thanks again mom and dad for the thoughtful and extremely generous birthday present. Maybe next year I will casually mention that I want a brand new SUV but Im too cheap to buy one.

No way you old bitty, why didn't we go out? Just kidding, I know you're not hitting the sauce these days, but I could have used an excuse for a cocktail!

Liz- I didn't really aknowledge my birthday this year because I wasn't too excited about hitting the big 3 0...I am however up for cocktails as soon as I get this baby out! I am all for drinking and breastfeeding:)
