New Sleep Routine #432

As many of you know, Michael has been a rather inconsistent sleeper. Or you can look at it another way and say that Mike and I are rather inconsistent rule keepers. Anywho, Michael has a new routine that has really been working for us. Let me give you a little background info first on Michael's sleep habits. He would fall asleep anytime between 7:00- 9:30 but he would always wake up at 6:00 on the dot. If you do the math and factor in the fact that he doesn't nap, he wasn't getting enough sleep for a 3 year old.
So we introduced the LCD/DVD combo to our little sleepless friend.
And we started to deprive him of TV during the day. Now he is more than happy to hop into bed by 6:30, start watching a movie, and fall asleep by 7:20 at the latest. We know that this is probably the worst bedtime routine ever, but I'm happy because he doesn't fight us about bedtime, he stays in his bed, and he falls asleep on his own. This has been consistently happening for 2 weeks now and I'm loving it.
