The Gingerbread Man
When I taught 1st grade I would always have a Gingerbread Man week. We would read all of the different versions of the book, do projects and as the grand finale we would decorate gingerbread houses. Michael is still too young for that, but he already loves this book and I think he could probably handle decorating a man:)

I went through a bunch of my old books and found this. Its actually a really cute story for those of you who haven't read it.

Very cool - I'm going to look for that Santa's Surprise Book at Fred Meyer, they have a good selection of reinstated golden books and seem to turn over titles often. Happy Snow Days!
