Love This

My friend Liz told me about this great organic fruit and vegetable delivery service called Terra Organics. You can set up delivery for every week or every two weeks. They have small and large boxes and you can add anything you want to your order. You even get a sheet of recipes with every box that goes along with the ingredients of the week! This has been a life saver because it seemed like I was always running to the grocery store just for produce. Now between this and my dairy service, I hardly ever have to step foot in a grocery store:)

Here is our "small" box that we just got delivered. I added the bananas and broccoli but everything else was standard.

Thank You

Thank you very much for all of the nice comments and emails. We are really excited about the upcoming addition to our family. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and for the most part feel pretty good. This pregnancy has been a lot different than my first. I haven't been as sick, but I have been WAY more tired. I remember feeling like I had more energy with Michael after the first trimester was over, but I'm still feeling pretty sluggish this time around. I also started showing a lot sooner this time. We just started telling people the news, so I have been living in sweatshirts and coats trying to cover up my stomach:) I don't even remember showing until well into my forth month with Michael but now I look like I'm at least 5 months pregnant!
Michael isn't too thrilled with the news (surprise, surprise). He wants me to open up my belly button and put the baby outside. He also informed me that he is going to wear diapers for 1 more year and tells me that he is a baby every morning when he wakes up!

This is how we found Michael sleeping yesterday afternoon. He found the Boppy pillow in the upstairs closet and quickly reverted back to infant hood:)

School Pics Are Here!

So before you think Michael is a sissy...Miss Peggy said quite a few kids were scared of the picture man:)

Here's our little guy with all of his classmates. Do you like how he is the kid who has to stand right next to the teacher?
Here is the picture that we ordered of him. You should know that this is the one where he looked the LEAST freaked out:)

We're Sick

Long time no see! Sorry I haven't been keeping up on the blog...there has been a very bad bug making its way through our household. It started off with Michael coming down with croup last Sunday, which was treated with steroids on Monday. It then turned into a full blown ear infection by Wednesday night. Michael is now on antibiotics, but is still acting and looking miserable. His bug then moved onto us....Mike and I have been fighting (and loosing the battle) against this thing since the end of last week. Every time we wake up we are hoping for some improvement, but there hasn't been any:( I'm pretty sure we don't have the swine flu because we don't have a fever and we have both been vaccinated (don't be too jealous). Here's to better health in the near future! I will be back in a couple days with some Welch family updates:)

Halloween 09

We had a hard time convincing Michael to dress up this Halloween. For about a month we have been showing him pictures of costumes asking him what he wants to be and his response was always the same, "no Michael dress up for Halloween." We were forced to make an executive decision and ordered the race car drivers outfit. We thought it would be fitting being that he is obsessed with cars. In the end, he still didn't want to get dressed up, so we did what any good parent does, threatened him. We told him that if he doesn't keep his outfit on he cant get any candy or see his friends Will and Henry. It worked. His outfit stayed put for a good 2 hours:)

3 years and counting...

Its hard to believe that Michael has already experienced 3 Halloweens! We are looking forward to many more!

Pumpkin Carving

We thought that it would be fun for Michael to help carve pumpkins, so on Friday night I put Mike to work as soon as he got home. He cut off the tops of the pumpkins and as soon as it was time for Michael to dig in he bailed. He had no interest in touching the "spider webs" inside of the pumpkins. So Mike and I were forced to finish the job on our own.
Michael did love the results.
He loved them so much he didn't want us to put them back outside.
When we told him it was time to come back inside he said, "No... one more seconds minutes outside."
