The Zoo
Mike surprised us on Saturday by planning a little family trip to the zoo to see the new tiger. I have to admit, I have never really been impressed with the Point Defiance Zoo because you never really get to see animals. It seems like every time we go they are hiding or sleeping in an undisclosed location. This time way different, we saw all the animals up close and personal. We had a blast, especially Michael.

Perfect Fall Day
Mike and I took Michael to the pumpkin patch on Saturday. We usually go to Spooner Farms, but decided to switch it up a bit and try Maris Farms out for a change...we are crazy like that. I remember seeing my friend Jessie's blog post about Maris Farms last year and made a mental note that we need to see what its all about. We had a blast. They had a little bit of everything from tractor pulls to corn rooms. If I had to guess, I would say Michael's favorite was the bounce house and the pumpkin patch.
Trying this bull out for size.
Didn't realize how big this tractor was until I looked at this picture.
Concentrating. This is serious stuff.
A room filled with dried corn. Kind of strange, I know.
Taking advantage of the cheesy photo ops.
Sorry if this one scared you.
Michael loved riding in Daisy.
The tractor pulled them around the field and over little hills.
They were supposed to put their arms up when they went over a hill but nobody participated.
At first I was worried about Michael catching Swine flu at this thing.
Then after the bounce house I started to worry about Athlete's Foot. On the hands.
Fun mini tractors with pedals.

It wouldn't be a trip to the pumpkin patch without a ride in the wheelbarrow.
Michael and Mike found joy in finding the perfect pumpkin.
Reason # 132 I'm Late to Work
Notice that Michael is really advanced for his age...he can already spell "ten.":)

our green approach to pest control
Totally 80's
Cars, Cars and More Cars
Yep, Michael is still OBSESSED with Cars. His favorite activity of all time is "parking" them (or watching other people park them.) He either likes to make car noises as he parks them, or he likes to name each of them as they slide into their parking spot.
