Little Einsteins

One of Michael's newest obsessions is Little Einsteins. Mike found him a Little Einstein DVD that has 3 episodes about birthday celebrations. It keeps Michael entertained like nothing else. Here he is watching the "balloon" episode with 2 of his very own. He thought he was pretty cool!

Morning with Mimi

Michael and I headed out for a morning of adventures with Mimi. I would lie if I said we had a great time.... Michael's terrible 2's were out full force today. We did get some cute pictures though:)

We started off at Garfield park.
Michael took one spin in this and was "done!"

After a major meltdown because we left the park, we headed to the Spar for lunch.

Michael had a pop and fries...very healthy.

I tried to numb the headache I had from all the crying with a BIG glass of wine. Nothing like drinking before noon:) By the way, I wasn't driving.

We finished it all off with a quick trip to Target where Michael got his very own Lightening McQueen car.

Now Michael is taking a nice and hopefully very LONG afternoon nap.

Bugs

Michael received this neat bug making kit from Jon and Ashleigh for his birthday. He loves it. Its great because he can actually connect all the pieces by himself, or as he says. "myself."

Staying Close to Home

Since everyone in the Welch family is under the weather (Mike being the worst), we have been trying to take it easy at home. I feel bad for Mike because it seems like the pain from the tonsillectomy is getting worse and he has a fever that is hanging on. We are pumping full of pain pills and antibiotics, so hopefully he will begin to feel better in the coming days.

Reaping the Benefits

Mike (the 30 year old, not the 2 year old) got his tonsils taken out yesterday. The surgery went well, and everyone is enjoying the food that we have around for a person who just had a tonsillectomy. Here is Michael thoroughly enjoying some of his dad's chocolate pudding. We all may gain 20 pounds when this is all said and done!
