Happy Birthday Michael!

Here's to you Michael on your 3rd Birthday! Our hearts overflow with love for you!

3 years ago today...

I was 38 weeks pregnant, waiting for Roto Rooter to come save the day....Then at about 5:00 my water broke, Mike called me to brag that he left happy hour early and was on his way home, I informed him that he wasn't going to have a choice either way, called Roto Rooter to cancel our appointment and headed to the hospital. Then on the way I called my mom who thought that our pipes broke, not my water (being that I was waiting on Roto Rooter):). My labor was quick because it ended with a surprise c-section at 1:13 in the morning and the rest is history. It is really hard to believe that it was been 3 years since Michael came into this world! Happy Early Birthday buddy, we love you!

Christmas '09

We hope that everyone had a great Christmas this year! Here are a few pictures from our day. We started off opening presents as a family at our house then jumped in the car and drove to my parent's for a day of festivities. Michael really "got" it this year, so it was fun. He even helped everyone else open their presents:) His favorite gifts so far are animal figurines, Handy Manny Repair Shop, and a shopping cart. Our favorite gifts so far for him are coats, coats and more coats:)

Festivus/White Elephant '09

For our Dinner Club Christmas party this year, Chris and Shannon hosted a Festivus themed party. We had a blast and the White Elephant gifts this year were actually really good!

Kate, Ashleigh and I basically drank mocktails (not Kate by the way, she was able to enjoy the real thing:) and ate dip all night.

Mike brought these and was hoping to bring them back home...

He got this instead and was happy because Michael could enjoy it.

The only thing that would make this better is if it was the Presidential version.

This gift had Johnny written all over it.

This will come in handy because our next Dinner Club is Snuggie themed!

Where Have I Been?

I know, I know its been 3 long weeks since I last posted....I am being reminded daily:) I recently got that 2nd trimester bolt of energy, so I have been cleaning up the mess that I have made over the last 4 or so months:) Don't get me wrong, I cleaned, but I didn't do a very good job tidying up. Now that I feel like I am on speed I have been busy organizing Michael's playroom, cleaning out closets and organizing everything that I basically let go. Now that I feel like I have put this house back together I am finally sitting down to blog:)

The Y with Mimi and Pa

My mom takes Michael to toddler gym a couple times a week, but as a special treat she brought my dad along last Wednesday. She said she didn't know who had more fun, my dad or Michael. Enjoy...

Thanks for bringing Michael on so many fun adventures Mom and Dad. We don't know what we would do without you! We do know that Michael would end up in Western State if he went for more than a few days without seeing you though:)
