The Fair

My mom and dad met us at the fair again this year. We had a BLAST. I think it is even safe to say that we had even more fun than we did last year!

Michael was excited as we walked in. He told us he wanted to go on the huge rubber band ride:)
He settled for a quick jaunt on the Marry Go Round.
He got a little braver and took a helicopter for a spin.We were surprised by how high of the ground it went.
After he traveled by land and air, he decided to hit the sea.
Then he found a lady friend to ride with. Obviously they didn't let them pick the color.
He didn't seem to care.
He was big enough for most rides but did get denied at one.
Delivery coming through.

His favorite- a hot air balloon.
Pa was a good sport and took him down the slide.
The first thing Michael said when they were done- "more"
We don't know who had the most fun out of these two.
This was pleasant to listen to.
Another great year at the fair. Cant wait til next time!
And he was out for the count.

Future Emeril

Michael has really taken a liking to helping me in the kitchen. I have to admit, at times it becomes bothersome when he is sliding his little blue chair from counter to counter to see what I am doing. The other day I decided to channel his energy and use him as my sou chef in order to keep him in one spot while I quickly prepared the rest of the meal.

Our little chef used a butter knife to help cut up the pepper.
It took the poor guy 20 minutes just to cut a few pieces:)

But he was happy as a clam to help and be part of the action:)

Bad Blogger

I know, I know, I have been really letting this blog go down hill! I have been so busy with life lately that I have been forgetting to take pictures. Plus there really hasn't been anything worthwhile to take pictures of to be quit honest (case in point- the picture above). We are getting used to my new work schedule around here, recovering from the plague and have been missing Mike this past week because he has been in Boston. Mike is back now and Michael has been on the road to recovery, so I am back on the blog wagon again!

Just Like Daddy.

Michael has been a little under the weather, so he has been super attached to Mike. His adventures with dad this weekend reminded me a lot of one of his favorite books.

"Helping" dad mow the lawn.
Moving on to a much cooler and smaller mower.
I mean does your lawn mower blow bubbles?
Helping Mike wash the car. He was pretty excited about the special mitt Mike bought him.
Dip
scrub
wait for dad to rinse. Then practice your driving skills!

At least its not rats.

Michael stepped in dog poop the other day (that's a whole other story) so I went into the backyard to spray off his shoes. I left our door open and when I came back in this is what I found.

I sent Michael outside to find a stick so he could shoo it out of the house
He seemed to really like our house because he wouldn't leave.

Don't worry, we did finally get rid of our pesky house guest. Although I don't like finding frogs in our house, its a lot better than the alternative!

First Masterpiece

Michael brought his first piece of art from preschool home last Thursday. Notice how smart my kid is? He put the circle on the circle. I bet Chad cant do that.

Serves me right

This is what I get for asking a 2 year old to water plants for me. I am still picking pieces of bark out of my washer and dryer.

First Day of School

Michael had his first day of school today! I have been really nervous all week about him going but he has been really excited. He was fine when Mike and I dropped him off. We told him several times that we were leaving and that Mimi was going to pick him up. He seemed to understand. We waved goodbye and he seemed fine. Come to find out the poor little guy started crying a few minutes after we left. My mom got the full report from Miss Peggy when she picked him up. She said he was teary in the morning, but was really good all day then he started to cry when some of the kids were getting picked up. We figured he was getting scared that he was going to be left there:(
When I got home I asked him all about it. He said, "Michael cried." "Miss Peggy said its ok and read book." I asked if Noah or Mason cried and he said, "No, Noah happy at Rainy Dayz, Mason happy at Rainy Dayz. I asked what else happened and he said, "girl pooped." So I guess that pretty much summed up his first day of school! That and the fact he said "No go back to Rainy Dayz" The next drop off should be interesting!

My little man on his very first day of school.
Before we know it he will be walking off to college...excuse me while I cry for a minute.
He found Noah right away and they got down to playing.
All in all I think that Michael did pretty well considering that he has never been left with anyone other than my mom, Olen and Justine and a couple of good friends!
