McQueen's Biggest Fan

We officially have a problem on our hands. Michael is a Car's fanatic! He has to watch the movie at least once a day (only his favorite parts though), and carries his cars with him everywhere he goes. Even if we leave the house, we have to pack them in his backpack! It has been driving us crazy, because if he looses one (and he knows if he is missing one) we hear about it until we find it. He has 3 versions of Lightening McQueen and he has unfortunately misplaced "Tar McQueen" so we have been hearing about it for 2 days. This is the scene that I found today after I was finished talking on the phone. Micheal sitting with all of his cars "parked" around him:)

Please let me know if you have heard of a Car obsession like this, and what we can do to cure it:)

Enjoying the Sun

Michael and his cars are enjoying the warm nights outside. Hoping for many more of these!

Bathtub Art

The Easter Bunny brought Michael some bath crayons last week, and they have opened up a whole new world for him in the tub. Mike gave him a bath last night and this is what I found when they were done. Michael is really into drawing "people" lately. All of the circles are of course heads, and Mike took the liberty to write down what Michael was drawing (dads are the best). By the way, Tim is Mike's boss:)
* Word of warning- if you ever use these crayons, I recommend taking out the red, pink and purple because they leave a hard to clean stain behind.

Weekend in Seabeck

Mike and Olen went out of town this weekend for a bachelor party, so Justine was nice enough to invite us out to her parent's house in Seabeck for the weekend. Her parents were out of town so it was just the three of us. Here is a sneak peak to our fun/relaxing weekend.

Michael was really excited to get out of town Friday afternoon.
Here is the beautiful view from their deck.

Michael loves it there because of all the toys they have for their grandson.
The next morning we went for an early morning walk.
Michael was in heaven because there was a bulldozer (or whatever you call it) in their backyard.
Michael took a 3 hour nap, so Justine and I played a game a of Scrabble. We were pretty proud of ourselves because we used every single letter.
My parents came out for a BBQ Saturday night. Here "pa" and Michael are coming back from a walk to the dock.
Everyone trying to figure out the BBQ.
Michael wanting to help cook.
What happened after the BBQ is censored for the weak of heart.

Let me just say that our nice weekend getaway ended with a screeching halt. It involved a large amount of vomit that came out of a 2 year old all over a beautiful king sized bed. Justine was nice enough to wash and pack everything while I tended to my sick son. We ended up getting home around 11:00 Saturday night. I am willing to bet that Olen and Justine wont have kids for a few years now!

Mr. Manners

I'm pretty sure Michael has just broken every single etiquette rule out there!

Ouch

Michael had a very painful and accident filled Easter. He started off the morning, and when I say morning I mean 6:00 am, running head first into a wall. You can see the mark from the wall panel on his forehead. He then fell off a chair at my parents house right onto the back of his head (on a hardwood floor). Here he is worn out and bruised:(

Saturday at Mimi and Pa's

Mike and I hit the town Saturday night, so our trusty "babysitters" took care of Michael. From the looks of things, Michael didn't miss us one bit!

Sugar and Spice

My friend Jessie and I are always asking each other, "What's for dinner tonight?" It is really easy to get into a routine when you are cooking the same meals week after week, so we thought it would be fun to start a blog where people can post their "tried and true" recipes. If you have a recipe you would like to post let me know and we can add you as an author. The blog is called Sugar and Spice. Check it out!

Fun with Friends

Michael and I met our Playgroup at Rainy Dayz Play Center today. Michael informed me that he wanted to ride a school bus there (he knows that is where he is going to preschool next year). We didn't ride a bus, but we did have a lot of fun!

Michael and Noah mesmerized by the pinwheels.

Connect Four any one?

Turning into a little hoarder.
Michael and Mason running out of steam by the end:)

Getting Big

My dad sent me these pictures that he took of Michael last Friday. I cant believe how old he is looking! Where has the time gone?

Good Bye Spring Break

Today marks the end of Spring Break 2009. I have to say that I had the time of my life at home with Michael. Although I love my job and I am thankful that I am able to work part time, there is a lot to be said about being able to focus on your family and home exclusively. During my week in a half home, I was able to spend meaningful time with Michael, keep up with housework and prepare thoughtful meals, all without being stressed! Now its back to the real world, at least for a few days that is... and then we can start having fun again!

Sunny Day

We enjoyed a beautiful Sunday at our house today. Michael and I dropped Mike off at the airport this morning and came home just in time to enjoy some warm weather!

As you can see it was a lot warmer than it was just a few days ago!
Michael enjoying his lunch outside.
He wouldn't stop walking towards me when I was trying to take this picture!
After Michael took a nap, it was snack time and
it was even warmer, so he sported his Crocks...
then he got a blister and had to put his tennis shoes back on.
Good thing he has a bigger pair being shipped as we speak!

This is the way we wash our car...

Early Saturday Morning!

Warrior

I was busy doing dishes when I heard Mike say, "Will you take a look at our little Apache?" Michael was just painting away with the pudding I gave him for dessert!
